| Why
did my Pump Quit? |
Why is my Pond
Green? |
Often pumps stop working it because
the impeller gets clogged and cannot pump water
through the pump. Remove the pump housing a check
for debris.
| Lack
of filtration, overstocking with fish and lack of
aeration are the most common factors to a pond's
ecosystem being out of balance.

| What do you put
in fountains? |
How much water
loss is normal? |
To
keep fountain water free of algae use a fountain
algaecide, not chlorine. Chlorine is corrossive
and is highly concentrated. Chlorine will corrode
fountain equipment and finishes.

Water evaporation is measured by
the air temperature, wind speed, humitity and several
other factors. Splash water loss from running waterfalls
is also blamed on evaporation. During the hot summer
days a 4% loss of your ponds volume is not unusual.
